Ascendance Truck Centers, an Ascendance Truck Center, is pleased to announce that Tyler Weed, Service Technician based in the Erie, PA, branch, was recently honored with 2023 Rookie Technician of Influence Award from Navistar for May 2023. The Rookie Technician of Influence Award is given to tech professionals with less than two years of experience at the dealership, have shown commitment to Uptime by being top producers, have gone the extra mile, and have proven they are responsible and trustworthy. They have also demonstrated their commitment to pursuing continuous improvement and delivering the highest level of customer service.
Tyler joined Ascendance to start his career in the heavy-duty truck industry after graduating from the Diesel Technology Program at the University of Northwestern Ohio. He is a detail-oriented and focused service technician who is customer-driven and always eager to tackle any challenge. He understands the importance of customer uptime and strives to complete tasks efficiently.
Since joining Ascendance, Tyler has demonstrated continuous improvement and a strong appetite to learn and become an accomplished technician. He possesses a positive attitude and has a passion to learn new skills and overcome obstacles. Additionally, Tyler’s background in machining and attention to detail have proven to serve him well in his work environment, and his repair times continue to improve as he broadens his technical scope.
Recently, Tyler was tasked with his first in-frame overhaul and truly went the extra mile. His attention to detail proved valuable, finding additional needed repairs and bringing them to light. The customer was engaged throughout the repair process, and Tyler ensured all the necessary repairs were completed and done right.
